About DisAbility Spin
THE DISABILITY SPIN NEIGHBORHOOD
Disability Spin is designed to be a virtual neighborhood:
- for mid-Missourians with disabilities
- for their friends and supporters
- for anyone else who might be interested.
For example, people using the site could be:
- elementary and secondary students with disabilities
- their parents and teachers
- college students and faculty
- people who sell products and services to people with disabilities
- disability-oriented agencies, both governmental and non-profit
- elected and appointed government officials
- other community organizations
A lot of people have already moved into the Dspin neighborhood and helped out with the site. Here are a few of them: Antoinne Jones, Penny Bailey, Luci Bruyneel, Bob Pund, Christy Welliver, Cindy Eckstein, Kathleen Weinschenk, Anne Edwards, Jerry Morris, Debra Clark, and Kevin Brown. Delta Systems was a big help with design. The United Way Agency Executive Council, the Boone County Related Agencies Association, and the Services for Independent Living board and staff have also reviewed this site. A team from MU headed by Laura Schopp with members including Michael Hauan, Tim Linder, Richard Charrier, Chris Fulcher, Mike Peplow, Elizabeth Cully, Lee Henson, and Yan Barnett did the initial site planning.
Please help too! Please join and contribute. Please work with all of us to improve the site as a resource for our community.
Thanks!
